• Kate Broug


    Kate Broug, a journalist, pilot and serial entrepreneur, created First Flights and serves as both its Director and Executive Producer. Prior to First Flights, Kate founded the successful e-commerce companies Anna in Bhutan and Cosmo’s Own. During one of her first trips to Bhutan, Kate had the thrill of being a passenger in a small aircraft landing at Paro - generally considered to be one of the most challenging airports in the world. Filled with wonder at the skill, focus, and discipline of the pilot on whose decisions everyone depended, Kate then and there decided to learn to fly. After becoming an instrument-rated pilot, Kate currently is pursuing a Commercial Pilot's License. Kate also has a graduate degree from the London School of Journalism and a background in professional ballet, having danced for Sadler’s Wells in London and Martha Graham in New York. Kate works out of both NYC and Amsterdam.

A strong believer in producing change through storytelling, Fernando's latest feature documentary, “Hostil” (2022), made international headlines and helped pressure Argentina’s Congress into protecting over 250,000 hectares of wild peatlands. Fernando has more than five feature films to his credit as a cinematographer and editor and currently is pursuing several social and environmental documentary films. Prior clients include Google, ESPN, Catena Zapata Vineyards, and Mercedes-Benz, among others.
