During World War II, approximately 6000 aircraft met their demise on Dutch soil, leaving behind both the wreckage and the airmen who perished with them, some of whom were never recovered. In this episode, Kate Broug embarks on a journey through the lens of aviation in her home country, The Netherlands.


Kate's primary focus in this episode is to shed light on the Dutch National Program of Aircraft Recovery, a significant initiative supported by a government budget of 15 million euros. This program is dedicated to recovering and identifying the missing airmen from WWII.
